The Panel Air Filter Gluing Machine made in China is an automated hot melt adhesive dispensing system developed for rectangular air filter elements. It integrates left and right glue nozzle mechanisms, a filter conveying mechanism (flat belt with positioning strips), and a hot melt glue machine.

During operation, the sensor detects when the filter element approaches the glue nozzle area and automatically activates adhesive dispensing. As the filter moves through the gluing position, two independent glue heads apply parallel adhesive lines simultaneously. After the filter passes through the nozzle area, the system automatically stops dispensing glue.

The precise adhesive application process helps prevent excessive contact between filter paper pleats caused by external pressure, reducing airflow resistance and maintaining filter performance.

Operating Principle & Production Process

The filter element moves forward on the conveyor belt. When the sensor detects the filter entering the gluing area, it activates the glue dispensing system. The two glue heads operate simultaneously to apply two parallel adhesive lines on the filter surface. After the filter passes the glue heads, dispensing stops automatically.

Production Steps

1. Preparation: Turn on the hot melt glue machine and heat it to the preset temperature until the adhesive is fully melted.
2. Adjustment: Adjust the front table guide strips and conveyor positioning strips according to filter width. Adjust glue nozzle height according to filter thickness and set the distance between two glue heads according to required glue line spacing.
3. Loading: Place the filter element on the front working table and gently push it onto the conveyor belt.
4. Conveying: The conveyor moves the filter forward, and the sensor detects the correct position to activate gluing.
5. Adhesive Application: Two glue heads simultaneously dispense two parallel glue lines as the filter passes underneath.
6. Glue Stopping: The sensor triggers automatic glue cutoff after the filter leaves the gluing area.
7. Output: The conveyor transfers the finished filter element out of the machine.

1. Install the machine on a flat, clean, and well-ventilated floor away from high temperature and dust.
2. Maintain clearance of at least 1 meter at the front and rear, and 1.5 meters on both sides.
3. Use a forklift with a capacity of more than 1 ton for transportation.
4. Secure the machine and adjust the level before operation.
5. Connect to a dedicated 380V/50Hz power supply with proper grounding.
6. Provide compressed air at 0.6MPa.
7. Check cables, emergency stop button, and safety guard before startup.

Q1: Why does the glue nozzle fail to dispense adhesive?

A: Possible causes include:

① No adhesive inside the hot melt glue unit or insufficient temperature → Add adhesive and wait until the preset temperature is reached.

② Air supply to the glue gun is not connected → Check the pneumatic circuit.

③ Glue machine malfunction → Inspect or replace the unit.

Q2: What should I do if the two glue lines are not symmetrical?

A: Adjust the left and right glue heads separately using the adjustment handwheels. Rotate the left adjustment wheel clockwise to move the left nozzle rightward and counterclockwise to move it leftward. Adjust the right nozzle in the same way until both glue lines are symmetrical.

Q3: Why does adhesive scraping occur when the filter passes through the glue nozzle?

A: The glue nozzle height may not match the filter height. Loosen the slide bar fixing screws and adjust the nozzle height using the lifting adjustment handwheel. Tighten the screws after adjustment.

Q4: Can the machine handle filters with different widths?

A: Yes. Adjust the spacing of the front table guide strips and conveyor positioning strips according to the filter width. The machine supports workpieces with widths up to 350mm.
